The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: "Client", “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. "The Company", “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and "Us", refers to our Company, British Chess Magazine Limited. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of United Kingdom. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Price and Payment

  1. The price of each product will be as quoted on the web store
  2. Prices are liable to change, but changes will not affect orders or pre-orders already made.
  3. Payment for all products can be made by: credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard), or through PayPal. For alternative options please contact us.
  4. Our online shop is protected by 256 bit encryption. Your basic data (name, address) is secured by strict internal procedures. Your payment data (card number etc.) is not accessible by British Chess Magazine staff, its representatives or agents. Card payments are processed by authorized payment processors, PayPal and/or Stripe, on their secure servers.
  5. Default currency of the store is GBP (British pounds) and all the payments are to be made in GBP unless otherwise shown. If your domestic currency is other than GBP, conversion will be effected by our payment processors PayPal (www.paypal.com) and/or Stripe (www.stripe.com) at their prevailing rates.

Shipping policy

  1. All products will be sent by UK Royal Mail or specialised international couriers.
  2. You will be charged for shipping the exact amount shown in your shopping cart. A handling fee is not charged.
  3. Shipping costs are determined by the weight of the total order and delivery location. Shipping for the United Kingdom is free.
  4. Orders are dispatched from our UK-based printers and distribution centre (Lavenham Press) normally on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.
  5. Delivery takes from a few days to 3 weeks, depending on your location worldwide. If your parcel is (obviously) late, please contact us and we will investigate with our distribution centre.
  6. We do not deliver to APO/FPO addresses. Please provide us with an actual street address.
  7. We are currently not able to provide tracking information for deliveries.

Order processing

  1. When you submit your order you will receive an automated email with your invoice and confirmation. If this does not happen, please contact us and we will investigate.

Returns policy

  1. British Chess Magazine wants you to be happy with your purchase. Should this not to be case any damaged, defective or missing items must be reported to British Chess Magazine within 30 days of the purchase date.
  2. If items were damaged in transit, British Chess Magazine will make a claim on the carrier and (subject to availability) will send you a replacement or make a refund. Please provide us with an image of damaged item for inspection by the carrier.
  3. As UK and international shipping costs for any returns can be expensive, please contact us in advance about any proposed return. Where appropriate we will be happy to suggest alternative solutions bearing in mind your wishes.
  4. British Chess Magazine will process any refund as quickly as possible, in most cases the same day.

Unless otherwise stated, British Chess Magazine and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on the British Chess Magazine website. All intellectual property rights are reserved.
