Women’s Grand Prix, Doha

Posted in Reports on 24th February 2011 No Comments

A strong women’s all-play-all is taking place in Doha, Qatar, from 20 February to 5 March. The players include ex-world champions Stefanova and Chiburdanidze, and current women’s no. 2, Humpy Koneru of India. After two rounds, the lead is shared by Dzagnidze and Danielian, both on 2/2. Chiburdanidze has started badly and is propping up the table, after two losses.
