Magnus Carlsen wins the 2012 Tal Memorial

The tournament, held in honour of the Latvian World Champion Mikhail Tal, has ended. With everything to play for in the ninth round, which was concluded earlier today, England’s Luke McShane lost to the current World No. 1, Magnus Carlsen. Luke, a wildcard entry to this massively strong event, might have tied for first place had he won.
