The Grand Prix tournament, at Simpson’s in the Strand, has joint leaders in the shape of Hungarian Peter Leko and Israeli Boris Gelfand. Readers will remember Boris narrowly lost-out to Vishy Anand in the World Championship itself, earlier in the year. These two grandmasters have 1.5/2. England’s Michael Adams has 1/2 in a field of twelve players, all world ranking GMs. Play continues until 3rd October.
