One Response to Book Review: Winning Pawn Play in the Indian Defenses

Originally written in Brazilian/Potuguese, this is an investigation into pawn structures. It attempts, and bravely so, to fill in gaps in Nimzowitsch’s writings concerning pawn majorities and centres on plans and their evolution. Although the Lopez is examined, this is largely a book about d-pawn openings. Not a book for the beginner. The author has played in the Brazilian Championships but is now retired from active play. He has produced a lively and controversial work. Very stimulating!
