Bobby Fischer: from chess genius to legend

Bobby Fischer: from chess genius to legend

Bobby Fischer is dead. But Bobby will never die and a book from the US explains, amongst so much else, exactly why. He was myth in his lifetime, he changed lives, he broke moulds, he smashed all records, he (latterly, I’m afraid) offended many. He was the youngest Grandmaster upto that point in history.

Bobby Fischer:from chess genius to legend by Eduard Gufeld, Carlos Almarza-Mato, Mike Morris, Wolfgang Unzicker, Gudmundur Thorarinsson, Bragi Kristjansson and Bob Long was published by The Thinkers Press in 2002. 192 pages, a collection of essays, this is quite a paperback that has, seemingly, improved with age.

Next to Brady, this might be the best place to read about RJF. Some rare photos accompany a lively and friendly text. Enjoyable.
