England beat the lowly-placed Uruguay 4-0 in round 10 of the 40th Olympiad in Turkey. Some compensation for earlier bad luck but little else: M Adams 1 A Rodriguez; G Jones 1 M Crosa; D Howell 1 B Roselli; N Pert 1 N Ulaneo. This surely will not effect the medals! England play the Czech Republic in the final round. At the top China downed the USA 2.5-1.5, Argentina did well to score 1.5-2.5 versus Russia and the Netherlands lost 1-3 to the medal hungry Armenians. The top looks like: China, Armenia and Russia all 8.5/10; Ukraine 8; Hungary, USA … 150 teams. http://www.chessolympiadistanbul.com/
